Tarot Card of the Day: The Hermit
Tarot Card of the Day: The Hermit using The Housewives Tarot. This card depicts a 1950s woman taking a bath, her pretty blonde curls all up and fully made up. She is smiling at us as she lathers up her washcloth. Around her tub are Lux soap bars.
I want to share with you the description of this card from the little book that comes with this deck because it is so darn cute:
"We all need a little time to ourselves, so try shutting out the world and indulging in some well-deserved "me time". Mix a cup of your favorite General Foods International Coffee, take the phone off the hook, lock yourself in the bathroom, fasten your eye mask, and sink into a bubble bath for some soul searching and meditation. Calgon take me away!"
Are the things going on in your life making you feel a little frazzled? It may be time to pamper yourself, even if just for a little while. There is no need to spend lots of money at a fancy spa, you likely have what you need right in your own home. You may have a stack of soaps you have collected from all those craft fairs or when they were on sale at the Five and Dime. Take your pick or have them all close by, enjoy their scents. Run a bath with your favorite bubble bath or bath salts, and let the suds and water and scents slowly ease your senses. Close your eyes and relax and let the troubles of the day float away. Without the distractions of the outside world you are able to do some mediation and soul searching during this time, to find your balance again. You may need this time away from everyone to rejuvenate. Don't keep pushing it off, take care of yourself. Now where is that Calgon?
