Tarot Card of the Day: The Tower

Tarot Card of the Day: The Tower using the Universal Waite Tarot Deck.  It's interesting that this card happen to come up today, just yesterday there was a discussion about it amongst myself and some other readers.  If a client sees this card, they may have some concerns about it before hearing what it may mean, because the imagery is quite powerful, and this is a very powerful card.  When this card comes up in a reading, we as readers like to be sure to communicate the importance of it, acknowledge the difficulties of dealing with the energies of it, yet also impart that there can be something good that comes of this.

The Tower symbolizes a life changing experience.  It depicts a lightning bolt striking the top of a tower, causing fire and knocking a gold crown off of the top.  A man and woman are falling off the tower into the unknown.  But this does not have to be viewed as something scary.  Exploring the unknown can lead to enlightenment.  Alongside the tower are drops of fire, shaped like the Hebrew letter yod, the first letter of God’s name, meaning the Divine is there for protection and guidance.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are being forced to change, or a revelation is being thrust upon you, it could be the energies of The Tower at work.  Although it may be difficult to face, try to realize that this experience could strengthen, and teach you.  Even if you feel like you are falling into the unknown like the man and woman in The Tower card, remember that the Divine is there to guide and protect you, and the experience may lead to enlightenment and then to a new beginning or new outlook on life for you. You may have needed this shake up.
